Dedicated to encouraging the growth of women in business and professional life, the Forward Ladies’ Women in Business awards celebrate the achievements of successful women across the region.
Not only will 12 successful women be crowned finalist in their chosen category but each winner will receive a beautiful handcrafted glassware bowl from Yorkshire glassmakers Gillies Jones.
For the 2013 awards, Leeds based investment managers Myddleton Croft are delighted to be sponsoring these unique and sort after pieces of art which will most certainly be a treasured feature in any home or office.
Based in the village of Rosedale Abbey, Gillies Jones, combine expert craftsmanship with individual and quirky design to make fine contemporary blown and engraved glass.
The Gilllies Jones approach is always small scale and every piece for the awards event has been hand-blown and hand decorated, involving hours of craftsmanship and refining to make each one unique.
Each bowl is discreetly engraved with Forward Ladies Women in Business Award 2013.
Julie Jones, director of sales and marketing at Myddleton Croft Investment Managers, said:
“We are delighted to be involved with the Women in Business Awards and to show our support for outstanding women who are making a difference not only in their own fields but for Yorkshire as a whole.”
Kate Jones, of Gillies Jones added:
“We are thrilled to be making awards for Forward Ladies. All of the 24 bowls are individually made, as we make glass as it was made pre industrial revolution.
“We hope that the bowls will be a treasured memory of the evening and the achievements it honours.”
