The event, hosted by One Medical Group, aimed to celebrate fashion, fast cars and females, while raising awareness and funds for Wellbeing of Women, a long running charity dedicated to improving the health of women and babies across the UK.
Rachel Beverley-Stevenson, chief executive of One Medical Group and chair of the Leeds and Harrogate branch of Wellbeing of Women, said:
“Thank you to everyone for their support and generosity at such a fantastic fashion show, we are delighted to have raised this money for the charity.
The funds will help further research and raising awareness about the ‘Voices in the Dark’ social study that we hope will improve support and recovery of women coping with health problems.”
Models from across the region took to the catwalk amongst the Maseratis, wearing the latest fashion from partners LK Bennett, Bolongaro Trevor, Kendelle and Serendipity Boutique.
Makeup artists from Bliss Beauty Spa attended to the models and hair was styled by the HOB Salon Leeds team.
Guests also enjoyed networking over a glass of wine from Italyabroad.com and canapés provided by James Brown catering.
The event was supported by a number of prestigious firms including Price Waterhouse Coopers, Walker Morris, Grant Thornton, Seneca Partners and Aichison Raffety.
All proceeds from ticket sales, auction and raffle on the night, went to Wellbeing of Women, in particular, the Action on Womb Cancer campaign which recently supported the social research paper, Voices in the Dark, conducted at St James Hospital.
The research, commissioned by One Medical Group, looks into women’s experiences of womb cancer and the impact of the disease.
