Teams from Langleys’ property and construction teams were involved in providing professional services advice to the university on the purchase of the multi-million pound facility.
St John Central opened in September and features new, purpose-built accommodation within York’s city walls, offering 258 rooms to the university’s growing number of students.
Applications to York St John have increased by more than 60 per cent in the last five years.
Langleys’ partner Tim Cross said:
“We’re very pleased to have been involved in York St John’s ambition to acquire St John Central and thereby provide such high standard accommodation to its ever growing student population.”
Most of the accommodation at St John Central is split into cluster flats for small groups of students with communal living and dining areas and all rooms are en-suite.
