Wakefield’s growing appeal as a place to live has been underlined after one of the city’s letting agents revealed its busiest day in its history.
Staff from Linley & Simpson, based in Northgate, handed over a record-breaking 43 sets of keys this weekend to tenants moving in to new properties on Saturday alone.
Branch manager Ross Harding said:
“This was not just the busiest day for the Wakefield branch, but the busiest one for any of the company’s ten branches since launching 16 years ago.
“The team worked and planned hard to make sure, with military precision, it all went as smoothly as possible.
“We were there from 8am to ensure everything went according to plan, with staff who don’t normally work on a Saturday coming in to help.”
“This weekend comes on the back of our busiest year for the Wakefield office, with the rise in rental demand highlighting how far the district has travelled as a popular place to live and work.”
