Elizabeth Hudson, a director at Cream Consultancy, has been named gold winner of the Outstanding Young Communicator award in the 2013 Yorkshire and Lincolnshire CIPR PRide Awards.
The CIPR PRide Awards recognise outstanding public relations in the UK regions and nations.
Elizabeth, 31, who has worked for agencies in London and the West Midlands as well as in-house for a global property firm, founded Cream in 2011 with former journalist Jane Whitham.
The company, which is based at Barnsley Digital Media Centre, has grown steadily and now has a roster of clients from a range of sectors spanning manufacturing, education, digital and the visitor economy.
Judges praised Elizabeth highly saying: “After co-founding her own agency in 2011, she has approached business growth in a very balanced way, ensuring that the impressive work she is doing delivers real value for her clients.
At the same time, Elizabeth keeps an eye on maintaining her own professional development and takes time out to educate a wider audience (of school leavers and businesses in Barnsley) about the benefits of public relations.”
The recognition didn’t stop there, with the judges adding: “not only did she showcase creativity and energy in pulling off a laser cutting campaign successfully, she encouraged communication and relationships between like-minded clients in order to maximise opportunities for them all – an ambitious goal that paid off.”
Elizabeth’s balanced, considered and professional interview manner was commended by all the judges.
“It was a huge honour to even be shortlisted. The calibre of candidates shortlisted was exceptional and to be recognised amongst such a talented group was in itself wonderful.
To win the gold award was a real shock, but a lovely one!”
Cream Consultancy was also a finalist in two other categories at the awards – Outstanding Small Consultancy and Corporate and Business Communications Campaign.
