Keycare – the UK’s largest provider of insurance for lost and stolen keys – has secured a new contract with specialist van insurers, Gladiator.
All Gladiator customers renewing or taking out a van insurance policy could benefit from Keycare’s key replacement service, which Gladiator is offering as an additional cover option on its policies.
Shipley-based Keycare provides insurance policies which cover the cost of replacing keys and locks for cars, homes and businesses and is commissioned by leading distributors and household names in insurance and other sectors.
The company manages over 1.5 million policies and provides a 24/7 service through a nationwide network of locksmiths.
Steve Taylor, operations manager, Gladiator, said:
“This contract with Keycare gives our customers peace of mind. They know that if their keys were lost or stolen, they would be replaced quickly and efficiently – and distress is kept to a minimum.”
The win comes at a formative time for Keycare which has made three senior board appointments aligned with its planned strategic growth.
Keycare chief executive David Robertson said:
“The price of replacing keys continues to rocket – in some instances electronically programmed keys can cost as much as £1,000 or more to replace.
“Our product reassures customers if they lose their keys, and supports Gladiator’s reputation for offering its customers great service.”
