A product development company is ending 2013 by celebrating a 35 per cent growth in turnover – and predicting even more impressive figures for 2014.
The latest figures mark the end of an impressive year for GSPK Design, which has taken on two new members of staff in the last six months in order to deal with growing demand.
Paul Marsh, the MD of GSPK Design, said:
“We have fought hard to maintain a consistent turnover since 2007. Like a lot of companies, we lost several customers between 2007 and 2011, watching them go into administration during the recession.
“Now, it’s great to be able to show strong growth and celebrate that with all our staff.
“We’re looking forward to a predicted doubling of our turnover next year thanks to several significant new contracts adding to our existing customer base, and we’ll be recruiting again in early 2014.”
GSPK Design specialises in electronic design and manufacture, offering a full service solution to customers for a huge range of products across varied markets.
Mr Marsh believes the company is perfectly placed to see the way the economy is developing – and he is feeling increasingly positive.
“Because we are a development company offering a full service, with low volume manufacturing and pre-production, we’re an ideal option for launching new products, and redeveloping or re-engineering existing products.
“However, this puts us at the front end of the product life cycle, which can be uncertain and high risk during a recession.
“Many potential customers have been much more cautious in recent years and reluctant to take risks with new products.
“We are definitely seeing a significant increase in demand for our work now and we believe that is a sign of a more general recovery.
“Our position and the approach we took during the recession are certainly paying dividends now.”
