The company picked up Best Innovative Product of the Year Award for Stompeez – and was also nominated in the New Licensee Award – at the inaugural Walt Disney Company UK & Ireland 2013 Licensee Awards.
The ceremony took place on Wednesday night at a gala dinner held at the exclusive Hurlingham Club in London.
The awards celebrate excellence in licensing for Disney.
Using its innovative multichannel model, HSTV has taken the much loved characters of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, 101 Dalmatians and Mike and Sully from Monsters Inc. from licensing to store in just five months to meet the demands of customers leading up to and during the Christmas period.
High Street TV sold 750,000 pairs of Stompeez in 2013, with an additional 250,000 pairs of Disney themed slippers in the last three months of the year, generating over £2.5 million of sales.
These sales were generated from retail giants Argos and ASDA with the products also available in BHS, WH Smiths, Boots and other retail partners.
