The RFL has signed an exclusive deal with Medicash to provide its staff with a tailored corporate health and wellbeing plan to offer access to a range of benefits including physiotherapy, dental and optical treatments, flu jabs and specialist services such as individual consultations and diagnostic testing.
Based in Leeds, the RFL administers England’s national rugby league team, the Challenge Cup, the Super League and the Championships which form the professional and semi-professional structure of the game in the UK.
The Medicash Proactive plan is a company paid health plan that provides cover for the things employees care about most.
It will also ensure staff are covered for prescriptions, inoculations and health screening. The Medicash Proactive plan was the first to offer hassle-free direct payment of PMI excesses, free cover for children up to the age of 24 and low cost options for employees to upgrade their cover or add their partner.
RFL finance director Sue Allan said:
“We are delighted to confirm that Medicash is our new healthcare provider and we are looking forward to working with them in 2014.
“The Medicash plan allows us to meet the healthcare needs of all our employees.
“As an added bonus, the whole process of setting up the scheme and inviting employees to join is very simple, straightforward and quick – which is exactly what we needed.”
“We worked with the RFL to define which health plan would be best for their employees.
“The plan will not only enable employees to claim back the costs of some of their day-to-day healthcare treatments, but will also give them access to a range of specialist services.
“We’d like to congratulate the RFL on its fantastic recent achievement – hosting an amazingly successful World Cup.”
