McCarthy’s Removals and Storage has appointed a new manager to its expanding team. Nick Wright, from Normanton, has been appointed general manager of removals and archiving.
Nick brings with him almost two decades of experience in the removals industry, having started work as a removals porter aged 16 in school and university holidays.
He spent 15 years at nationwide firm Pickfords in various operational and sales management roles, receiving the company’s manager and surveyor of the year award in 2012.
His new role at McCarthy’s will involve the management of operations, staff and budgets across the removals, records management and shredding sides of the business.
On his appointment, Nick said:
“What really interested me was how the business has been diversified to provide other complementary services alongside removals and storage, such as 24-hour self-storage facilities, records management and both on and off-site confidential shredding services.
“Mike McCarthy has a great vision for the business going forward, and I look forward to working with him and the great team of people here at McCarthy’s.”
Mike McCarthy, managing director at McCarthy’s, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Nick to the team. He brings with him more than 20 years of experience in the removals industry, and his knowledge and expertise will no doubt spark some great new ideas to help us achieve our goals.”
Trading since 1970, McCarthy’s is a family business primarily known for its private and commercial removals.
McCarthy’s also offers a range of business services including archived storage and confidential document shredding.
