EY has appointed Tom Roseff to head its real estate tax advisory practice in Yorkshire as confidence returns to the regional property market.
He will help investors, developers, lenders, construction businesses and owner occupiers to efficiently plan for, and manage, their tax positions to unlock additional value on both new property transactions and existing assets.
Roseff, who has over 20 years’ tax advisory experience, re-joins EY as a senior manager having spent three and a half years with the firm between 2000 and 2003.
A chartered accountant with experience working for some of the country’s most prominent real estate businesses, Roseff most recently spent four years as a senior tax manager at Saffery Champness’ Yorkshire practice and has also had spells with two other leading business advisory firms.
Tom Roseff said:
“With its first rate tax business and strong brand in the region, EY has a real opportunity to grow its offering to the property sector in Yorkshire, as we see confidence and activity levels return.
“Taking the right tax advice at the right time is critical in optimising investor returns on property transactions and I look forward to working with the strong team here at EY to help companies and individuals throughout the region realise additional value on their real estate deals.”
Tim West, tax partner at EY in Yorkshire, said:
“Tom has an enviable track record in effectively advising businesses in property transactions, with great understanding of the regional market.
“His experience and network will prove invaluable as we expand our tax proposition in the sector.”
