Major changes in the way medium sized companies in the Sheffield region prepare their financial statements are to be the focus of an important breakfast seminar next month.
Hosted by Sheffield-based independent chartered accountants and specialist business advisers Hawsons, of Glossop Road, the free event will look at issues arising from the introduction of a new national accounting system, FRS 102, and make unlisted companies and charities aware of how it may impact their accounts.
Chris Hill,patner at Hawsons, said:
“The new accounting framework, which will modernise financial reporting, becomes mandatory on 1 January, 2015, and there are many implications for companies to consider as they prepare for the transition.”
FRS 102 replaces the current accounting system UK GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
The seminar, on Tuesday, June 10, at the Copthorne Hotel, Bramall Lane, Sheffield, starts at 7.30am for registration and refreshments, with a presentation at 8am.
It will finish at 9am with questions and networking.
