Global sports brand adidas is the new official kit supplier to Sheffield United FC.
The Blades have agreed a four year deal with the manufacturer of sportswear and sports products.
Sheffield United managing director Mal Brannigan said:
“This is a major and exciting deal for the Club and its fans.
adidas, renowned for its famous three stripes logo, will produce and supply all the Club’s home and away replica strips, training wear and fashion wear.
“The partnership with adidas, one of the most iconic sporting brands in the world, is indicative of the strong progress we are making as a Club.
“Details of the look and style of the home and away kits will be released very shortly.”
Nick Craggs, adidas brand director, said:
“We are delighted to agree this partnership with Sheffield United.
“We believe the Club are at the beginning of an exciting new period under manager Nigel Clough and we are looking forward to many successful seasons together.”
The German-based organisation owns 9.1 per cent of Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and sponsors the German national team.
In addition, it has numerous major kit deals with clubs worldwide, including Real Madrid, AC Milan and Chelsea and national teams such as Spain and Argentina.
Players it endorses include Lionel Messi, Gareth Bale and Luis Suarez. adidas is the manufacturer of the ball being used in the World Cup in Brazil.
United fans will have the chance to see and purchase the new kits over the coming weeks.
