A seminar in York next month will examine how employers can protect their business when an employee leaves.
Topics such as protecting confidential information and company property, and ownership of accounts and contact lists on social media such as LinkedIn, will come under the spotlight at the event, which is open to managers, HR practitioners and any other professionals who need to be familiar with employment issues and legislation.
Hosted by Langleys Solicitors, the seminar take places on Thursday 3 July at York Sports Club in Clifton, from 8.30-11.00am.
The employment team at Langleys will also look at the benefits and drawbacks of garden leave, enforcing post-termination restrictions and injunctive relief.
Partner Stephen Elliott said:
“Relationships with departing employees can very easily turn sour and it is always beneficial to know exactly where you stand with regard to issues such as garden leave and social media.”
The seminar will provide two hours of CPD (continuous professional development). A certificate of attendance will be provided following the event.
