Chambers and Partners 2015, the leading independent directory for the legal profession has recognised four senior partners at the Harrogate law firm, Raworths, as leaders in their field.
In addition to partners Deborah Boylan, Simon Morris and Jonathan Mortimer who were featured in last year’s edition of the directory, family law specialist, Carmelita Ardren has also been included in the new edition.
Deborah Boylan, who is a partner and head of the Employment Law team at the firm has been recognised for a fourth year running.
Deborah leads a team of five employment specialists at Raworths and joined the firm in 1998.
Her prior experience includes working in industry which she regards as an important tool in her approach to her clients’ problems.
She is an accredited CEDR mediator and a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. She specialises in providing strategic advice on human resource issues, TUPE, restructuring and dealing with contentious claims in Employment Tribunals.
Simon Morris, head of Corporate/Commercial at Raworths is recognised as a leader in the field of corporate law and mergers and acquisitions with a particular focus on the SMe market and entrepreneurs.
This is the third year his work has been especially marked out as amongst the best in the region.
Partner Jonathan Mortimer who heads up the Dispute Resolution team at Raworths is recognised for his work in litigation.
Jonathan’s team of four regularly work on high profile disputes and Jonathan has recently been made the Independent Chair of the Justice Panel for North Yorkshire.
Carmelita Ardren, partner and head of Family Law at Raworths has been recognised for the first time for her work in family and matrimonial matters.
Carmelita joined the firm in 2001 and is a trained collaborative lawyer, a member of Resolution and of the Law Society’s Advanced Family Law Panel.
