Yorkshire package deal takes to the skies

A Yorkshire airport is celebrating a deal with an international tour operator to offer exclusive package holidays to the Isle of Man.

Following the announcement that LinksAir is now sending flights from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield to the Isle of Man, independent tour operator, Premier Holidays, has launched a series of packages to the tourist hotspot.

LinksAir flights to the Isle of Man from South Yorkshire commenced in April, operating on a Monday and Friday basis, allowing for short leisure breaks and business trips.

The route is on sale now through travel agencies and direct through Premier Holidays, with bookings available to the Isle of Man for the remainder of summer 2014 up to September 15.

Doncaster Sheffield Airport is the only airport in Yorkshire offering these package deals to the Isle of Man with Premier Holidays.

The Isle of Man, located in the Irish Sea, is known for its rugged coastline and sandy beaches, and plays host to the annual world famous TT motorcycle race.

Steve Gill, managing director of Doncaster Sheffield Airport, said:

“The deals Premier Holidays are offering will give passengers the option to enjoy a visit to the Isle of Man direct from their local airport.

“This agreement with LinksAir is an exciting development and an indication of how popular the new route is.

“Premier Holidays has 75 years of experience in tailor-made getaways for people from across the region.

“The new option to fly from Doncaster Sheffield to the Isle of Man is not only good news for holidaymakers, but for the business sector alike.”

LinksAir will announce its flight schedule to the Isle of Man for summer 2015 later in the year.

Premier Holidays already provide package trips to Jersey from Doncaster Sheffield Airport.
