TUPE under the spotlight at September’s Langelys masterclass

TUPE Regulations will come under the spotlight at a Masterclass hosted by Langleys Solicitors on Thursday 11 September in York.

Employment partner Stephen Elliott will look at the application of the TUPE Regulations when a business is sold and when services are outsourced, brought back in-house or transferred between contractors.

Attendees will consider the impact on both the outgoing and incoming employers and explore in detail the protection TUPE affords to employees.

Particular areas of focus will include identifying a relevant transfer, rights and liabilities, changing contract terms and dismissals.

Stephen Elliott and his team will provide practical examples, along with recent cases of note, and will highlight recent and forthcoming changes to the Regulations.

The Masterclass is open to managers, HR practitioners and any other professionals who need to be familiar with Employment issues and legislation, as well as business owners and managing / finance directors who may be interested in the potential financial implications of a transfer.

It will take place at York Rugby Club, Clifton, from 8.30am-11am.

Langleys is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority to provide CPD training.

The seminar will provide two hours of CPD (continuous professional development). A certificate of attendance will be provided following the event.
