Sainsbury’s supermarkets will be hosting teams of volunteers from local Citizens Advice Bureaux – as part of a fund raising drive to mark the charity’s 75th anniversary.
Hambleton and Richmondshire Citizens Advice Bureau will be collecting at Sainsbury’s in Northallerton on Saturday 30th August 2014.
Volunteers will promote the work of the Bureau as well as raising funds with a bucket collection and tombola.
It will also be promoting the “Advice for the Future” campaign, asking people to pledge their support for free advice by either signing a petition on the day to show that free advice matters or agreeing to access the online petition at www.citizensadvice.org.uk/adviceforthefuture
Carol Shreeve, manager at Hambleton and Richmondshire CAB said:
“Demand for our service is rising and we really appreciate Sainsbury’s giving us the opportunity to raise funds in this way.
“We would ask people to come show their support for this much needed service.”
