Work has started on site for Muse Developments’ new community of 51 luxury homes in the heart of Lakeside, two miles south east of Doncaster town centre.
The two, three and four bed contemporary houses will be set in an attractive and tranquil waterside location, next to a basin leading to the main lake.
Designed by Yorkshire-based architect Brewster Bye and to be built by Lovell construction, all of the houses will offer private gardens and off-street parking, with some overlooking the water.
The development is close to many amenities including a popular factory outlet shopping centre, a new 15,000 seat football stadium with multi-purpose and athletics sports village, cinema and leisure complex, food store, offices and restaurants.
Excellent transport links, including access to the M18, A1 and M1 road networks, are also nearby.
The new homes have been designed with sustainability in mind and will achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 and a 10 per cent reduction in CO2 emissions.
Well-insulated building fabric and a high efficiency heating system will reduce energy consumption, allow for easier maintenance and enable residents to get the benefit of lower fuel bills.
James Scott, senior development surveyor at Muse Developments, said:
“We’re very pleased to be under way with construction at Lakeside, our second residential development in Doncaster.
“The Lakeside regeneration area has already proved popular with local people and I’m sure the stylish modern design of our new homes, along with the stunning waterside location and excellent nearby amenities will appeal to a wide range of buyers.”
It is anticipated that the first homes will be available to buy off plan from spring next year, so potential buyers are recommended to register their details for further updates.
