Apprentices Kick Start Careers at Green & Brown

A Wakefield based established window blind manufacturer has boosted its customer service team with two local apprentices.

Green & Brown is one of the UK’s leading blind manufacturers, producing over 4000 made to measure blinds per week for online stores, independent high street retailers and installers.

Having recently launched an exclusive online trade portal, the company needed to strengthen its customer service team, and opted to introduce apprentices to the team.

Harrison Black and Jack Booth are the new additions to the team and in September will begin studying towards an NVQ in customer service.

Jack is currently processing trade account applications whilst developing his telephone skills whilst Harry is supporting the team by arranging appointments.

Both have already made a valuable contribution to the business.

Head of department, Lee Fisher, said:

“We were delighted to be able to offer apprenticeships in our customer services team.

“The scheme gives young people from the local area a real opportunity to be part of a fast growing business, to learn from the inside and to develop with the company.

“From our side, we get enthusiastic, keen workers, who at the end of the apprenticeship will be fully qualified and ready to take their next steps within the business.

“Harry and Jack are already very much part of the team and we’re looking to introduce apprentices in other areas of this business.”
