A Yorkshire based telecoms specialist has installed a state-of-the-art telephone system over the course of a weekend in order to minimise disruption to a business which sells its products around the world.
The fast track installation took place at the Bridlington headquarters of Britax PMG, which supplies vehicle lighting, amber hazard warning lighting, rear view mirrors and wiper systems to both vehicle Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and the commercial vehicle After Market.
The company employs more than 200 staff at its premises on Bessingby Industrial Estate and needed to replace an outdated telephone system for 120 users.
Wakefield based NGC Networks carried out a full site assessment and installed a state-of-the-art communications system in just two days to minimise downtime to the business.
The new system includes enhanced features such as twinning mobile phones with desk phones, and unified communications such as voicemail to email, instant messaging and audio conferencing.
Az Yasin, Business Systems Manager at Britax PMG, said: “We were in need of a modern, more efficient system including features such as computer telephony integration and mobile twinning.
“In today’s fast-paced world, speed of communication is vital, and we’re confident the new system will deliver noticeable benefits to the business.”
NGC Networks director Dean Harrop said: “This is a good example of how companies can be accommodated outside of normal working hours to ensure the smooth installation of new equipment and systems without interruption to their business operation.
“We are pleased to help a world-leading company like Britax PMG revolutionise its telecommunications.”
Britax PMG Ltd is part of the ECCO Safety Group, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of back-up alarms and amber warning lights.
