UK HR experts gather in Yorkshire for prestigious roundtable

Leading HR professionals from across the UK will be in Yorkshire this week for a unique roundtable event.

South Yorkshire software specialist PointSolutions is behind the event at the Electric Works, in Sheffield, on Friday 19 September.

The event will focus on how Microsoft’s SharePoint software can be used by businesses to support HR directors in the training, developing and managing of staff more easily.

Lorraine Archibald, head of people at Asda, Manchester-based Genevieve Bradbury of Vie Talent and Rebecca Fielding of Gradconsult will be attending, along with PointSolutions managing director Mark Walsh and marketing director Dave Bailey.

Lorraine has spent more than 17 years at Asda in a variety of HR roles, while Genevieve has an established background in the HR profession, working with, Zizzi Restaurants and Defra.

Rebecca specialises in graduate employment and has previously worked at Asda and the Association of Graduate Recruiters.

SharePoint specialist PointSolutions, based in Manvers, Rotherham, is only the second provider globally of a full SharePoint human resources solution.

The company will officially launch its latest HR module at the CIPD Annual Exhibition 2014 event in Manchester in November.

As an accredited Microsoft SharePoint specialist, PointSolutions provides integrated business process applications, such as customer relationship management (CRM), human resources, health and safety and  the traditional SharePoint collaboration solutions such intranets and extranets.

Established in 2003 by current managing director Mark Walsh, PointSolutions’ clients have included Rolls Royce, SKY TV and Sheffield Hallam University.

SharePoint is a growing platform for businesses to use as it is included within Microsoft’s Office 365 cloud software alongside Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
