The Engine Room shares Kirklees’ €1million success celebrations

The Engine Room is sharing in the celebration of Kirklees’ massive success in securing €1million from Bloomberg Philanthropies to develop “comoodle” – their game-changing concept that will bring positive change to the region and improve lives.

After a detailed briefing from Kirklees, The Engine Room came up with the comoodle name and designed the identity and the bid.

As one of the largest foundations in the US, Bloomberg Philanthropies exists to deliver real, meaningful and lasting change around the world.

Through its Mayors Challenge Competition, the foundation this week announced the 5 winning cities chosen for their innovative initiatives to overcome urban challenges.

Alongside Kirklees, winners include Barcelona, Athens, Stockholm and Warsaw.

Lesley Gulliver, brand strategy director at The Engine Room said: “This project is about making a difference for the public good.

“The team at Kirklees are so passionate and committed to this end, they absolutely deserved to win.

“We can’t wait to see comoodle coming to life and working for the people of Kirklees.

“We had a matter of days to develop a name, a brand and a design for the bid.

“It was all hands on deck at The Engine Room, but it was worth it.

“We’re proud to be associated with such a successful project, and it highlights how design can create real
