Trainee solicitor Cheryl Milner has raised more than £600 for the Alzheimer’s Society by taking part in a series of charity challenges.
Cheryl, who works for Langleys Solicitors LLP in York, was sponsored by family, friends and colleagues to complete this year’s 26-mile Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge (9 hours 40 minutes), a 10-mile Total Warrior assault course in the Lake District (3 hours, 98th out of 1,535 participants) and a sponsored tandem skydive in Bridlington.
A bake sale held at Langleys also contributed to Cheryl’s fundraising. The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in which 471 walkers took part raised more than £125,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.
Cheryl also joined colleagues from Langleys in the Alzheimer’s Society’s own six-mile memory walk in York. The team raised £130 for the society.
Cheryl said: “I have really enjoyed completing these challenges for the Alzheimer’s Society which does such a wonderful job supporting people with dementia and their carers.
“The skydive was particularly fun as I managed to do a jump at sunset which was just incredible!”
