Rachel Crookes, a partner at hlw Keeble Hawson, is one of only 10 lawyers from England and Wales to feature in a film for this year’s Law Society Annual Review.
Rachel, who is head of litigation, dispute resolution and debt recovery at the firm’s Leeds office, was filmed talking about the importance of the support that the Law Society provides to regional based law firms.
Rachel said: “I was pleased to be one of only a few lawyers asked to take part in the filming, because I really value the work that the Law Society does and was keen to help highlight the support the Society provides.
“I strongly believe that regional law firms need to have a voice in our profession so that we are not dominated by the large London firms – and the Law Society ensures we are heard.”
President of the Law Society Andrew Caplen said: “In the video for our annual review, Rachel Crookes hits the nail on the head: the Law Society has influence in Whitehall that members – as individuals – do not necessarily have.
“As the representative body for solicitors, it is important that our members value the work we do.”
