Yorkshire company Ivent gets a 1st in online events

Leeds based online event provider Ivent has announced significant business wins in the education sector with new contracts totalling in excess of £150,000.

With London’s Kings College, Middlesex and York University all recently commissioning Ivent to deliver their bespoke online events showcasing the institutions in virtual open days as well as student recruitment events, the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), the global body for professional accountants, is the latest to utilise the company’s cutting edge technology, appointing Ivent to deliver two events.

Ivent hosted ACCA’s 2014 graduate recruitment event this month, aiming to attract the highest calibre new graduates into the industry’s top firms.

The leading online event provider created a bespoke solution which includes an interactive advice portal to give graduates the chance to speak to ACCA representatives in scheduled discussions.

Additionally, major organisations such as Baker Tilly, Deloitte and Grant Thornton exhibited and showcased their current graduate placements to prospective graduates via branded displays.

The Ivent platform also includes pioneering features such as one-to-one video interview rooms and video CV’s for users built into the system.

The next ACCA event will take place in December.

Gavin Newman, Ivent’s director said: “Since our launch in 2010, Ivent has cut events bills in the graduate recruitment market by up to 80 per cent for savvy brands such as Morgan Stanley, Johnson & Johnson, Talk Talk and Dyson who have been quick to embrace the financial and logistical benefits of online events.

“The need to reach a wider, even international audience quickly and cost effectively makes a virtual environment the obvious solution for the education sector and companies targeting students and graduates who are far more online orientated than ever before.

“The education sector is certainly emerging as a massive growth market for Ivent, but considering the competition to attract students, particularly from a wealthy international market, it’s unsurprising to see more and more opting to use online technology rather than staging costly and resource intensive physical events.

“We are delighted to host the ACCA’s graduate recruitment event and we have already been appointed by the organisation to deliver an additional virtual experience targeting A level and O level school leavers.

“ACCA had originally planned to deliver the event as live however after seeing the tailored options the Ivent platform could offer they were keen to utilise it again, this time to engage with a younger audience.”

“We were so impressed with the quality and accessibility of the virtual event Ivent created for Middlesex University we quickly decided to commission them to create our own graduate and school leaver events.

“We’re delighted with the response the first event has received with 400% more graduates attending than initially expected ” Leah Brown, ACCA Student Recruitment Manager.

Founded in 2010, Yorkshire-based Ivent specialises in the design, management and delivery of online events utilising its own powerful, virtual event & webcasting platform.

Ivent’s market leading solutions enable attendees to participate and engage at conferences, trade shows, corporate meetings, sales and marketing meetings, training sessions, and job fairs without setting foot outside their office.
