Just a few days remain before Harrogate Chamber of Trade and Commerce’s Annual Dinner – and the final places are being snapped up quickly.
Held at the Cedar Court Hotel on Friday, October 17, it will include a three-course meal, as well as entertainment from the Gilbert and Sullivan Festival, which proved hugely popular when it was held in Harrogate for the first time this summer.
The speakers for the evening will be from Harrogate beer and wine specialists Ake & Humphris, with a talk entitled Why Doesn’t Wine Taste Like Grapes? They will give the audience a better understanding of wine that can be put to good use in the Call My Bluff Wine Quiz which follows – with tasting glasses included in the ticket price.
Chamber chief executive Brian Dunsby said: “This event is designed as a social evening, which many businesses use as a chance to entertain their best customers or reward their staff for a good year’s work.
“It is also an opportunity to meet many local business owners in a more informal setting over dinner, or with a drink in the bar afterwards.
“The night is not just for Chamber members: it is open to any business people who wish to attend, so we always get a varied crowd and a great atmosphere.
“However, anyone who wants to join us but has not booked their place yet should do so without delay, as there are only a few spaces remaining.”
Tickets for the Annual Dinner include the three-course dinner followed by coffee and petit fours, as well as tasting glasses for the wine quiz. The winning table will also be given a bottle of their favourite wine from the quiz.
There will also be a raffle on the night to raise money for the annual Christmas Lights appeal in Harrogate, with fantastic prizes from local businesses.
Individual tickets are £40 per person, or a table of 10 can be booked at the discount rate of £330.
