Sheffield-based Future Life Wealth Management has taken on a 16-year-old apprentice straight from school.
James Hardwick, who was a student at Sheffield Springs Academy, has joined the Renishaw-based company as an apprentice administrator.
Future Life Wealth Management offers a bespoke financial planning service to generators and receivers of wealth, from business owners and executives to inheritors and retirees.
Managing director Jill Thomas, who is also junior vice president of Sheffield Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: “We are delighted to invest in a young person and offer James this opportunity.
“I was given a chance in similar circumstances 35 years ago and I have never forgotten the faith someone put in me.”
James, who lives in Sheffield, gained an A* in his GCSE maths. He joined Future Life after signing up to an apprenticeship scheme with the Source Academy at Meadowhall.
Earlier this year, Future Life relocated to bigger offices in Future House on Ravenshorn Way in Renishaw to keep up with continued growth and increasing demand.
