Indoor pyrotechnics at a 1970’s night featuring an Abba tribute act will see Knaresborough-based Logic Fire & Security provide an onsite engineer during the show to help further ensure the safety of the guests.
The Ultimate 70’s Fundraiser event is being held this Saturday in Handforth, south Manchester, at Hallmark Hotel, which is a long-standing customer of Logic and is being organised by the Innervation Trust charity.
The engineer will be on site to live manage the fire alarm system because certain aspects of it will have to be isolated to ensure the smoke from the show doesn’t set it all off.
Logic manages the fire alarm system, including the extinguishers, and all the lighting for the hotel group in addition to carrying out PAT (portable appliance testing) testing.
Gary Dale, operations director at Logic Fire & Security, said: “We have worked with the Hallmark Hotels group for quite a while and we’re always looking at ways to further help our customers.
“There’s no legal obligation for us to be at the 70’s night but because it’s unusual to have pyrotechnics in a small venue we decided we would like to be there to help ensure that everything run smoothly.”
Logic Fire & Security was founded in 2001 as a specialist turnkey fire alarm company, and has since expanded to offer intruder alarms, CCTV and access control solutions.
Its Yorkshire clients include the University of Leeds, Leeds City Museum and Shoreline Housing Partnership; while on a wider scale it works with IKEA, Game, Ramada Hotels, Cheque Centres and the Salvation Army.
Hallmark Hotels has eight hotels across the UK including in Gloucester, Bournemouth, Carlisle and Hull.
