And, at its Christmas party this week, the proceeds of a silent auction and prize draw raised more than £1,670 for the organisation which supports a wide range of individuals across the North of England to live the lives they choose!
Items under the silent hammer included dinner for two at The Ivy restaurant in London, a day’s fly fishing on the River Ure and a day at Harrogate’s Turkish Baths.
Independent Tax and Forensic Services LLP co-director Gary Brothers said: “I’d like to thank everyone who donated a prize and took part in the raffle and silent auction.
“The Avalon Group is a wonderful organisation and I’m delighted that we were able to given them an early Christmas present.”
Independent Tax and Forensic Services LLP co-director Stephen Outhwaite said: “When we were choosing a charity to support we knew wanted one based in Yorkshire.
“We went to an event where Avalon’s chief executive Larry Hollando was a guest and, after learning about the organisation and what it did, we decided to look no further.”
Avalon Group chief executive Larry Hollando said: “This year we have celebrated our twentieth birthday, and it’s lovely that Steve and Gary have chosen us the beneficiary of its fund-raising activities.
“Organisations such as ours rely heavily on financial donations and public support, and without this we would not be able to offer the range of services we currently provide.
“I’m indebted to both Gary and Stephen – and their colleagues and clients – for their continued sponsorship.”
