Free Barnsley seminar on managing change in the workplace

Business people in Barnsley are invited to a free event to learn about managing change and maintaining trust in the work place.

The seminar will take place on Thursday 22 January 12pm-2pm at the Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre in Wilthorpe.

It will be led by ACAS Senior Adviser Darrell Johnson, who has over 15 years’ experience in employment relations matters.

This free event is part of a programme of business support organised through the Barnsley HR Network, funded by Enterprising Barnsley. The HR Network gives Barnsley businesses easy access to free specialist advice on HR.

Judy Sidebottom, Enterprising Barnsley’s HR business consultant, said: “This event will help businesses to manage change, keep their top talent and win the hearts and minds of employees to positively embrace change.

“The event is open to anyone involved in managing people in a Barnsley-based business, no matter what the size of company or level of responsibility.”

The ‘HR Network’ aims to help Barnsley business of all sizes develop and deliver excellent HR practices by providing free expert advice and up to the minute briefings.

Previous events have covered issues such as employment law, performance management and pay rewards.

The Enterprising Barnsley programme is part financed by the Yorkshire and Humber European Regional Development Fund Programme 2007 to 2013.
