A provider of professional HR advisory services, AdviserPlus, has been appointed by City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council to deliver a front line HR advice and guidance service to its 10,000 employees through a groundbreaking advisory services centre.
Under the long-term commitment, AdviserPlus, in partnership with Bradford Council, will provide a suite of HR support to its managerial workforce, delivered from its operation based in nearby Saltaire.
The appointment will provide a further boost to employment in Bradford with the creation of a number of new jobs.
Working with large corporates, FTSE 100 companies and public sector organisations, AdviserPlus helps its clients to sustainably improve commercial performance by providing multichannel HR services, combining expert people and industry leading technology, to support line managers and enhance their confidence and capability.
The new service will provide specific HR support for all Council managers across a wide range of Council services.
Commenting on the partnership with Bradford Council, Chris Clarke, chief executive of AdviserPlus, said: “Following our successful tender, we are delighted that Bradford Council has chosen AdviserPlus as its HR services partner.
“We are committed to investing in Bradford and expanding our business in West Yorkshire is a key element of our ambitious growth plans in the UK.”
Bradford Council is the fourth largest metropolitan district council in England. Matt Burghardt, the Council’s Interim Head of Human Resources, commented:
“Our partnership with AdviserPlus is part of a long-term strategy to ensure that we support our managers by developing their skills and capability in dealing with HR issues. The model that AdviserPlus use is unique and we believe it will enhance our own in-house provision.”
Mr Clarke added: “As we continue to grow and win new clients across the full range of industry sectors, extending our services to organisations in the public sector is very much a key strategic focus.
“Our partnership with Bradford Council is particularly significant as it enables us to increase our presence in the public sector and is our first local authority client.
“Providing outsourced services to public sector organisations offers unique challenges but we work closely with every client to ensure our approach and services are entirely customised to reflect an organisation’s culture, values and ways of working.”
