A UK holiday price comparison website has invested in human resources technology from Cascade HR, as the company looks ahead to future growth.
With well over 20 million visitors every year, Icelolly.com has fast become a popular online brand committed to providing inspiring holiday deals for its customers.
And following a management buy-out in September 2013 – before relocation to prestigious new offices in Leeds – the company now has its sights firmly set on further business development.
To support Icelolly.com‘s strategic evolution, HR manager Linda Woolley knew that investment in new human resources software was required. Until very recently, the company only had paper-based employee records.
But, having started out as an entrepreneurial business, Icelolly.comhas now far outgrown this rudimentary approach.
“I wanted to build a HR function which delivered excellence in its approach to people management,” Linda explained. “However, we were restricted by the level of information we could easily access, and our reporting capabilities were very minimal.
“I therefore audited the marketplace in search of a solution that would help us work smarter. My goal was to find a technology that would enable the HR team to perform to the best of its ability, within the touch of a button.”

The system was fully up and running by October, enabling Icelolly.com to commence a phased three-month training plan and roll out.
“Icelolly is, by its very nature, a technology-orientated business,” continued Linda. “So it’s crucial that we invest in best-practice software, as we pursue our ambitious expansion plans and work to support our future business success.
“I’m particularly excited about Cascade’s self-service capabilities, which will empower our managers and increase the efficiency with which everyone works.
