Companies across West Yorkshire are now eligible for financial support to upgrade their internet connectivity under the Government’s Broadband Connection Voucher Scheme.
Leeds/Bradford is one of 22 SuperConnected Cities in the Connection Voucher Scheme and its area has been extended to cover the whole of West Yorkshire.
SMEs in Wakefield, Calderdale and Kirklees can now apply for the vouchers worth up to £3,000, enabling many more businesses to gain superfast internet connectivity.
In addition, the scheme has been extended to March 2016 and businesses should apply now, says Yorkshire telecoms specialist NGC Networks which is a registered supplier in the scheme.
NGC Networks director Nikki Guest said: “Many more SMEs in West Yorkshire can now take advantage of the scheme. Having much better internet connectivity is such a boost to business and helps companies to be more efficient and effective in the way they operate.
“Being involved in the scheme is a great opportunity for us and we’ve already helped many businesses apply for the vouchers to gain superfast internet connectivity.”
NGC Networks clients already reaping the benefits of superfast internet connectivity include rugby league club Bradford Bulls and its Provident Stadium headquarters.
