Joe Manby Limited appoints two new foremen

Family-owned event services supplier Joe Manby Limited has appointed two new foremen, after bidding farewell to their long-standing predecessors.
Ruairi Docherty joins the Harrogate-based company fresh from the Falkland Islands where he undertook a one year joinery contract with the RAF. Previously Ruairi was a self-employed joiner based in Leeds.
Ruairi said: “My role at Joe Manby Limited will be completely different to what I am used to. Working in the Falklands was a great experience but I came back seeking a more stable job closer to home.
“My role here will certainly be a learning curve but I am working with an experienced team and I am ready for a new challenge. I hope to be running my own events over the next few months.”
Ruairi is a keen golfer and lives in Rawdon, Leeds.
Andy Frew has joined Joe Manby Limited after working as a shop fitter in Leeds, where he was in charge of a warehouse for seven years.
Andy said: “I originally contacted the recruitment agency to apply for a different job but when I spoke to them they said I would be perfect for the Joe Manby Limited role.
“My experience of managing a warehouse will lend itself well to this role and I am looking forward to working on a wide variety of events across the UK.”
Andy also enjoys golf and plays guitar in a rock covers band called The Jacks. Andy lives in Bramley, Leeds with his wife and two cats.
Richard Manby, company director, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ruairi and Andy to Joe Manby Limited. With their wide range of experience, fresh ideas and enthusiasm they will be a great addition to the team.”
