Business rounded up in Hambleton

A brand new publication has been launched this month – produced exclusively for the businesses of Hambleton.

The Hambleton District Council newsletter “Business Roundup” will keep local firms abreast of new opportunities and funding streams as well as the authority’s plans and schemes to support economic growth in the district.   But the council also wants the businesses themselves to use it to feed information to their colleagues.

“Hambleton prides itself on being a business friendly council – we have spent the last two years working closely with businesses across the district,” said deputy leader of the Council, Coun Peter Wilkinson.

“This new publication is another way of communicating with local firms and we hope it will grow and grow as they begin to use it too.”

Initially bi-monthly the newsletter will be issued by email and on the council’s website to make sure all local businesses get a chance to see it  – whether on an industrial estate or in the high street.

Its first edition – issued this month – includes features on the council’s graduate internship scheme with Teesside University, apprenticeship grants and annual business awards.

It also updated on schemes specific to each market town – and the major new plans for North Northallerton which includes homes and a new road between Darlington and Stokesley Roads.   And there is a business directory packed with useful contacts across the district – and North Yorkshire.
