The Dog Walker expands with new appointment

Yorkshire’s largest pet care service The Dog Walker is expanding with the appointment of a Boston Spa woman to service its Collingham to Harewood area.

The Dog Walker offers a kinder alternative to kennels with a range of services for busy pet owners, including dog walking, pet sitting/boarding and taxi services.

Former Ministry of Defence Police employee, Michelle Lindsey previously worked at Pets at Home for three years, where she gained experience working with small animals and studied pet nutrition.

Swapping her days spent behind a desk for bracing walks in the country, Michelle is offering daily dog walks, dog and cat boarding as well as care for smaller animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs.

Michelle said: “I love animals and dog walking has always been something I have wanted to do. I grew bored of being stuck in an office every day. I wanted a job that kept me active and was more fulfilling.

“The Dog Walker is a local company with a great reputation so when a vacancy became available I jumped at the opportunity.”

Michelle, originally from Newcastle now lives in Boston Spa with her puggle Zach and cat Tilley.

Richie Womersley, managing director of The Dog Walker, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Michelle on board. She is an enthusiastic animal lover with a wealth of pet care experience. I am confident she will be able to fit into the role quickly and comfortably and enjoy her new career as a dog walker.”
