  • Director of the Year (large company)
  • Young Director of the Year
  • Not for Profit/CSR Director of the Year
  • Lifetime Achievement
  • Global Director of the Year

The deadline for entries is 26 March 2015. Application forms can be downloaded at: http://www.iod.com/connecting/local-networks/yorkshire/yorkshire-humber-director-of-the-year-awards-2015

The winners will be revealed at the Hilton Sheffield hotel in Victoria Quays on 11 June 2015. They go forward to the national IoD Director of the Year awards.

Mr Tuplin said: “I’m delighted to be selected as chair of the judging panel for such a quality event as this. As ever, the calibre of nominees is likely to be very high as it should be, because we are looking for the best in Yorkshire!

“There is still time to make your nomination. If you are interested or know someone who should be entering, I’d urge you to get in touch.”

The 2015 awards will also see the presentation of the North East Director of the Year (small to medium company) award. There will be representation from the North East on the judging panel from experienced directors Sheila Stokes-White and Alastair Thomson.

Sponsors of this year’s awards event are GDF Suez Energy UK; Leeds Beckett University; Hilton Sheffield; Vista; Sheffield Hallam University; and NGC Networks. Further sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting regional director Natalie Sykes: natalie.sykes@iod.com

Two Yorkshire and Humber winners triumphed at the national (IoD) Director of the Year Awards, held in October last year. Julia Gash, founder of Bag It Don’t Bin It, was named Small and Medium Company Director of the Year. Susan Symington, a non-executive director at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, won New Chartered Director.
