Further consultation on travel tax relief will demonstrate industry best practice says specialist

Leeds based contracting specialist Nova Contracting, says further consultation on changes to travel and subsistence relief rules for temporary workers, will clearly demonstrate best practice in the industry.

Director of Nova Contracting, Marcus Green, said: “There were no surprises in the Chancellor’s Budget statement, but we’ll be looking closely at the detail in the new HMRC proposals and any further announcements, as further consultation takes place over the summer.

“That consultation process will clearly demonstrate best practice in the industry and the compliant, but flexible, employment solutions provided, which reflect 21st century working patterns and support the vital contribution of temporary workforce to the UK’s dynamic labour market.

“Any new legislation would not come into effect until April 2016, so it is very much business as usual and there is plenty of time to plan and make any necessary adjustments.”
