Nick Fry, the former CEO of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team, will be the key speaker at the annual Institute of Directors (IoD) Humber Luncheon at the start of this year’s Humber Business Week in June.
Now a commercial advisor, Nick looked after the racing sponsorship aspects of the Mercedes AMG Petronas business. He secured the services of Lewis Hamilton, replacing Michael Schumacher to partner Nico Rosburg in the team’s pursuit of the 2013 World Championship.
Nick will address IoD members and guests at the luncheon at KC Stadium on Monday 1 June – the start of the annual Humber Business Week.
Pat Coyle, chair of the East Yorkshire branch of the IoD, said: “We’re delighted to have Nick as our key speaker this year – he has considerable business expertise and will be able to share his insights on what it takes to build winning teams and compete for success at world level.
“Nick’s speech and the The luncheon will signal the start of Humber Business Week when the spotlight falls on the very best in business and enterprise in the region.
“The Humber Luncheon is one of the highlights of our events calendar and is always very popular. Tickets are selling fast so I would urge people to book their places early to avoid disappointment.”
