Leeds-based OneMedicalGroup, a national provider of healthcare solutions for premises and care delivery has won a competitive multi-million pound tender, for the new NHS Urgent Care health centre with a patient support and advice hub in Derby.
The contract, initially for three years, will see the Group run the Derby Urgent Care Centre with a branch service at their existing health centre, St Thomas Road Surgery, utilising over a decade of experience in patient care solutions.
The OneMedicalGroup has a £42million healthcare property portfolio, an annual turnover of over £10million and has seen over 2.7 million patient contacts, since inception.
The independent Group with over 250 staff, delivers a patient first approach for NHS contracts and GP premises support services including integrated management information and centralised back office functions, across the UK. The new Derby contract will see the NHS services alleviate pressure on local A&E departments.
The sites are projected to see over 72,000 patients a year, delivering care for patients with minor, non-life threatening injuries.
Rachel Beverley-Stevenson, chief executive of OneMedicalGroup, said: “As a team we are thrilled to win this new expanded multi-site contract in Derby.
“We will use our experience in the area to maximise engagement with patients, clients, staff and NHS commissioners for a new generation of better healthcare premises and services.
“We look forward to building on our hard work to deliver excellent quality, patient centred care to the Derby community.”
The deal will also see the introduction a new X-Ray service at the main site and a dedicated patient education resource, which will advise the public on how to manage their health and wellbeing, providing information on specific health concerns and tips on improving patient lifestyle.
