An innovative new scheme in Stokesley will see local businesses owners start the day off with not only their breakfast but with a friendly chat with like-minded businesses!
Springboard Business Centre is hosting a series of taster Breakfast Briefings and if they prove to be popular they will become a regular fixture on the business circuit.
“Breakfast meetings have soared in popularity in the business world as they are now thought to be more productive than lunches,” said Marie Banks, business centre manager for Springboard Business Centre.
”People tend to be much more alert after they’ve had a good night’s sleep and a good breakfast, so not only are they likely to pay attention, but they are likely to be more enthusiastic about what is being discussed.
“With this in mind and coupled with peoples busy lifestyles and tight schedules we decided to combine the two and set up ‘Breakfast Briefings’”.
The briefings which start next month will be run by Hambleton District Council in partnership with the York, North Yorkshire, East Riding Enterprise Partnership.
The monthly sessions will take place on the second Friday of each month from 8am–9am – and cost £5 per delegate, including breakfast.
First on the menu on 8 May is ‘Practical Public Relations’ with a presentation by Anna Addison from Anna Addison Associates and will look at what is PR and how does it work, how to identify a good story and how to write a press release.
