Members of the public are invited for a first look and to help inform plans for Ironworks, Leeds – a new development of 60 apartments, 15 town houses and 1,400sq ft of retail space in Holbeck Urban Village – located to the south of the city centre.
The scheme is being developed by Igloo Regeneration, which has been a landlord within Holbeck Urban Village since 2006. The creative neighbourhood was recently crowned the UK and Ireland’s ‘Best neighbourhood’ at the 2015 Urbanism Awards, and is currently home to almost 400 fast-growth businesses and 7 independent award winning eateries.
A public consultation displaying the plans and images will be held at ‘The Inflatable Igloo’ located on David Street car park, opposite the Round Foundry Media Centre, on Friday 8 May from 10am to 5pm and Saturday 9 May between noon and 2pm.
The two day event will be an opportunity for members of the public to help shape the development and talk face-to-face with the Development Director of Igloo Regeneration, Honor Massarella, and Nick Brown Architects, who are also working on the scheme.
The development, which will embrace Igloo’s sympathetic approach to regenation, incorporating the industrial heritage of the area, is expected to be ready by 2017.
