New president for Bradford Society of Chartered Accountants

Tim Parr, a tax partner at , has been elected President of the Society of Chartered Accountants, taking over the reins from .

The Society, which represents approximately 850 members in Bradford and Craven in , organises a number of social and technical events for members throughout the year.

Tim, who graduated in law from Bristol University in 1982, is a and Chartered Tax Adviser.

Tim lives in Idle but is based at Baker Tilly’s offices in .  His particular speciality is in remuneration planning and advising on the usage of limited liability partnerships (LLPs). Tim has gained a reputation as one of the foremost experts in the on the taxation of LLPs.

Tim said: “It’s a great privilege to be elected as President of the Bradford Society of Chartered Accountants. We have an exciting programme of events lined up for the coming year, and I am particularly looking forward to helping support our younger members with their professional development.”
