Natural and built asset design & consultancy firm EC Harris, part of Arcadis in the UK, has significantly boosted its regional presence following the appointment of James Crawley in Leeds.
James joins as an associate partner in the Development Management and Consultancy team, where he will play a key role developing the business with some of the most important national and regional clients in the North.
James joins from Calderdale Council, where he was responsible for establishing and leading the Council’s capital projects team. Previously James has worked for both Muse Developments and M&G Real Estate.
Commenting on his appointment, James said: “I had been looking for a company with the ambition and potential to expand and develop in line with the massive growth prospects we are seeing across the region. I was amazed by the breadth of work and expertise within EC Harris and the Arcadis Group.
“Having worked client side for a number of years it was clear to me that there are very few consultants who could match EC Harris in terms of what we offer.
“These are exciting times with the Government’s focus on the Northern Powerhouse bringing substantial infrastructure investment and opportunities for devolution. I’m looking forward to working with the team to help bring investors into the region and deliver development projects with both our public sector and developer clients.”
James Redmayne, principal partner for EC Harris in Leeds, said: “As an addition to the Leeds office James is the perfect fit. With his expertise and breadth of experience in both the public and private sector he can bring a regional focus on both property and infrastructure development for a wide range of our clients in the region.”
