Cafe2U reaches finals of bfa Franchisee Recruitment Award

Cafe2U have recently been announced as finalists in the bfa (British Franchise Association’s) Franchisor of the Year Awards, in the category of ‘Franchisee Recruitment Award’. The award is to recognise a franchise that has demonstrated effective and responsible franchisee recruitment.
Cafe2U have 65+ franchisees in their network with another in four training over the next four months.
The final stage in the rigorous judging process saw managing director Tom Acland and national franchise manager Martyn Ward, travel to London to present to a Dragon’s Den style board of judges, in the hopes of securing their position as overall title winners.
MD Tom Acland said: “Our presentation showed how our recruitment process is designed to attract franchisees into the business who will ultimately be successful.
“We highlighted the varied opportunities for candidates to interact with our staff, franchisees and customers, as well as the transparency and open-book nature of our information disclosure process.
“We explained that Cafe2U has a duty to assess the candidate to check their suitability to join our business, as much as the candidate has to carry out due diligence on Cafe2U as a potential franchisor.
“We explained that we check all aspects of the candidate’s background, health, finances and previous work, as well as the support of their family for their new venture. This was followed by 15 minutes of intense questioning from the panel.’
Tom added: “With only 19 finalists across all the categories we know we are in very good company in the finals of these awards. Our staff work incredibly hard to recruit and retain the best franchisees and reaching the finals of this award is testament to their hard work.”
