Victoria Quarter is offering Yorkshire charities the opportunity to nominate themselves for the chance to become the Victoria Quarter Charity of the Year and receive substantial funding from the annual Hammerson Local Community Bursary. All UK registered charities working across Yorkshire with a focus on health and well-being, young people, skills and employment or regeneration can apply.
The scheme, which is funded by Hammerson, supports charities that undertake vital work in their communities and will award a ￡5,000 grant to the chosen charity.
Nicola Hanson, assistant centre manager at Victoria Quarter, said: “Supporting the local community in which we operate in is extremely important to Victoria Quarter and the bursary enables us to give something back.”
“The annual bursary is designed to provide funding to help one exceptional charity to deliver work which supports communities and makes a real difference to local peoples’ lives.
“The bursary is open to all Yorkshire-based charities and I would urge all charities to nominate themselves and not miss out on this great opportunity.”
Charities have until 5pm on Friday 3rd July 2015 to return their completed application form to the Victoria Quarter Management Suite.
Charities can also email their applications to email@example.com
Application forms can either be collected in person from the Victoria Quarter Management Suite or can be downloaded from the Victoria Quarter website.
