Global honour for Sheffield’s Azzure IT

Fast growing Microsoft specialist Azzure IT has beaten off competition from 2300 tech firms across the globe to be named a finalist in Microsoft’s 2015 Partner of the Year Awards.

Azzure IT is one of four Microsoft partners to be named as a finalist for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Global Partner of the Year 2015.

The accolade means the Sheffield-based company has been globally recognised by Microsoft as one of the top four companies in the world delivering ERP systems to small and medium sized businesses.

The prestigious awards attracted entries from 108 countries and celebrate businesses that are solving customer challenges with creative technology solutions. Azzure IT will be joining other finalists from across the globe at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Orlando later this month to celebrate the achievement.

“To be a finalist for the ERP World Partner Award is a huge honour and is a testament to the Azzure IT team, and the strong IT business solutions we provide to our customers”, said Craig Such, Azzure IT’s managing director.

“This award means Azzure IT is not only recognised within the UK industry but by the worldwide Microsoft community.”

Sheffield-based Azzure IT was congratulated on its win by Phil Newman, UK Dynamics NAV Channel manager at Microsoft.

“Azzure IT have truly impressed Microsoft with their superior ERP knowledge and expertise.  As one our leading UK Gold Certified Partners, they continue to deliver innovative and efficient Microsoft business solutions for their customers.

“Their reputation and success is a testament to capability and commitment and to be recognised by the Microsoft Community is a huge honour.”

Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president of Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Group, said: “The 2015 Partner of the Year Award winners and finalists honour our top partners that demonstrate excellence in providing solutions and value to our mutual customers.”

Azzure IT services the whole of the UK and within its growing workforce has a wealth of experience in developing, implementing and customising business software solutions using Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

It helps businesses improve efficiency and productivity in a wide range of industries including manufacturing, distribution, and professional services.

This award win is the latest in a string of successes for the company, which include securing €200,000 from the Regional Growth Fund Grant by the Sheffield City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) to part-fund additional staff recruitment and training, and support its aggressive growth strategy.

In the past three years, Azzure IT has grown from a £450k turnover to £1.7m in 2014 and in on target to exceed a £2.4m target for 2015.

The company has recently recruited seven new staff, taking its total workforce to 32. The new roles comprise two sales consultants, three implementation consultants, one software developer and a customer service executive.

In a bid to overcome the national skills shortage in IT professionals and safeguard the continued growth of the company, Azzure IT is also in the process of launching its own graduate and intern programme – the Azzure Dynamics Academy.
