A South Yorkshire estate agent officially launched its new brand at Penistone Literary Festival, where it sponsored “The Bard of Barnsley” Ian McMillan.
Butcher Residential has made a substantial investment in marketing as confidence has returned to the property sector with sales levels and activity continuing to rise. The estate agency, with branches in Barnsley and Penistone has updated its branding, launched an new website and is undertaking PR, social media activity and digital marketing as part of an overarching strategy which aims to place the company as the leading independent agent in Barnsley.
Principal, Ian Butcher, who launched the estate agency six years ago after spending over 25 years in the industry, said the new branding and marketing developed in partnership with local PR and marketing agency, Cream would give Butcher Residential a strong identity in a competitive market by positioning it as “Barnsley’s Property People”.
“We’re not new, we’ve been finding people their perfect home for years in Barnsley but just as a home needs new lick of paint, we decided it was time to refresh our website and marketing. We’ve kept our distinctive colours so house-hunters can still spot a Butcher’s sign easily.
“Penistone is our second branch and has proved hugely successful so when we heard that ‘The Bard of Barnsley’ would be at Penistone Literary Festival it made perfect sense to use it as the ideal platform to launch our new brand.
“Our hand-picked team knows Barnsley and the wider South Yorkshire area inside out – just like Ian McMillan! With over 120 combined years’ experience no one understands the local property market better.”
The new look comes as the Land Registry reported prices in England and Wales had risen in April, with economists predicting further increases in the months ahead.
Ian added: “Yorkshire saw the biggest monthly price increase in April, where prices increased 2.7 per cent over the month to give an average house price of £123,471.
“We’ve launched our fresh look just as the housing market is reinvigorated so we’re in an ideal position to help people find their perfect home.”
