The UK’s most established independent training provider has secured a deal in India that will see it significantly contribute to the Indian economy and be recognised as a powerful global brand.
With over 160 years as a British heritage brand, Pitman Training Group – with its head office in Wetherby – is to be a key player in evolving the executive education model for India as it brings Pitman’s award-winning model of computer-based, experiential learning, to support the development of education and skills in South Asia.
Having been requested to share insights at the Indian Education Congress, in Delhi last month, Pitman Training’s MD Clare Lister has been at the forefront of education and skills discussions focused on leading change across the country.
She is now delighted to announce that Pitman Training Group has partnered with Franchise India, to work towards changing the face of education and training for careers across India, through learning initiatives, unique to the great British brand.
Pitman Training has been teaching shorthand in India since the turn of the 20th Century, returning now to introduce the modern ‘equivalents’ in office training into the workplace, focused on vocational training and career development.
Talks are already ongoing with some of India’s leading educational institutes around the first opening of centres later in 2015 and it’s expected there will be a significant number of Pitman Training centres across India by the end of the year.
Recognised as a UK business Superbrand for the third consecutive year, Pitman Training Group has been heavily focused on global expansion, with recent agreements signed in Nigeria, Zimbabwe and the Cayman Islands.
